What's this I hear about Middle School Youth Ministry?
This year at SVdP we are relaunching our Junior High Youth Ministry to give our 7th and 8th graders (we will add 6th grade at a later date) an opportunity to encounter Christ and live out their faith in ways outside of a classroom environment using Life Teen’s EDGE materials. EDGE Nights will provides a safe, fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community through fellowship, games, and catechesis where they can ask questions about their faith and experience Jesus in a personal way.
We encourage students to attend the 5:00 pm Youth Mass, join us for Pizza and ABIDE on the 2nd Sunday of each month and on EDGE Nights which will generally be the last Sunday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We will also participate in events in the Archdiocese and with other area Parishes as scheduled.
If you are interested in having your children participate in EDGE and haven’t yet e-mailed me, please e-mail email@example.com with your name and your children’s name(s). Then, I will make sure that you are on our eVents email list to receive information about EDGE opportunities.
Current 8th Graders:
Starting after Confirmation, please join us each Sunday for High School L.I.F.E - Living in Faith Everyday. We meet Sundays from 6 to 8 pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Room where we share a meal, discuss issues, celebrate our faith, and have fun. Each L.I.F.E Night will end by 8:00 pm so there will be time to get to that last minute homework. So bring a friend and come check us out on Sunday evenings!

FOR CURRENT 8TH GRADERS:
This summer, St. Vincent de Paul will be taking a bus load of 8th through 12th graders on the Archdiocesan sponsored trip to the Steubenville Mid-America Conference in Springfield, MO - JULY 14-16, 2017. The Steubenville Youth Conference is a three-day experience consisting of music, keynote speakers, small group time, breakout sessions, Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, fellowship, and fun.
The majority of the conference takes place in a large-group setting, but participants also spend time with other teens from our parish in small groups of 6 youth and an adult leader.
The deadline has passed to register for this trip; however, we still might be able to get spots for one or two more youth, so call Mr. Nespor if you are interested in going. The cost of $290 per person includes conference registration fee, dorm housing, meals, transportation, and group t-shirt. A $50 non-refundable deposit would need to accompany a preregistration form
